Opioid Prescription Rates After Knee Surgery


A recent study by Kit Delgado, MD and colleagues found that rates of opioid prescriptions following knee surgery varied widely by state, with Nebraska having the highest rates. Despite variation, the dosages prescribed tended to be very high and at levels associated with risk for long-term use. Read more about Dr. Delgado's interpretation of these findings.
